SEXTING

Sex-Ting- verb
1)The Act of engaging in sexual intercourse via text on a mobile device.
2) The act of sending nude pictures of yourself to another mobile device or uploading the nude pictures to a social media website.

Sexting is an epidemic prevalent among Junior High School and High School Teens and even in rare cases Elementary school babies.

Not only does it provide the offender and victom with social consequences, professional consequences but there is also steep legal consequences for Sexting.

Sexting falls under child pornography laws. Basically a 16 year old girl can send a nude photo of herself to her boyfriend and it can be passed around the school-then she gets arrested for distributing child pornography and now needs to register as a sex offender.

IS it young dumb love, or really child porn?

  1. this is silly the new laws are ridiculous. so what if prior to cell phones girls decided to hand out polaroids of themselves nude? were they sex offendors back then? NO i dont think so. they need to fix this law because it does not make sense. if a girl/boy decides to show their nude body parts that is their choice, its their body.

  2. I agree but then again the main issue is when girls send a nude photo to one boy and then he sends it everywhere. That is very wrong, and there should be SOME type of consequence, but I wouldn't go so far as "sex offender." ANyways thanks JOHN!!!

  3. My thoughts, Women should be looking less for someone to blame if the pictures, texts get out and more at WHO they are sending them to. The Judge and Representitive Weiner who found their images out in public didnt try and cry foul, and press charges, they took chances and they backfired. screen who your playing with better, and you wouldnt have these problems.
